Flow Forming Machine

Leifeld ST 400 H S Series

For heavy-duty forming of rotationally symmetrical hollow bodies with constant or varying wall thickness by flow forming via cylindrical, conical or embossed mandrel contours. The machine is applicable for forming processes like forward flow forming,reverse flow forming and shear forming.

The following workpieces can be manufactured on this machine from most different unmachined parts/preforms and materials:

  • Rotationally symmetrical precision hollow bodies with constant or varying wall thickness course, e.g. hydraulic cylinders, pressure tanks
  • Rotationally symmetrical and concave, convex or conical components, e.g. engine parts, wheel disks
